Woodsaw & Wheel

Rest a while at our friendly ‘Woodsaw & Wheel’ country kitchen and eatery, which is renowned in the area for both quality and value. Enjoy our morning coffee and cakes, great Lunch Specials and afternoon teas. We use local food producers wherever possible for our home cooked dishes. Our fine wines come directly from Tintern's Parva vineyard, with beers from Tintern's microbrewery, The Wye Valley Brewery and tasty ciders from our neighbouring village of Brockweir. Specialities include our infamous 'Dragon Pie', local Rabbit Pie and our famous 'Mill Wheel' Tea Cake  - big enough to share! Two course lunch specials are available daily, with vegetarian and vegan options.

Relax and enjoy the view from our conservatory overlooking the trout pond. We have a large Cider Barn Restaurant and a unique old beamed function room for private parties. The private function room is available for Group Bookings, Clubs, Societies or Family Gatherings.

Our famous Afternoon Traditional High Teas are a delicious treat, with sandwiches on white and wholemeal bread and a selection of freshly made cakes. These include Victoria sponge, Welsh Bara Birth, Welsh cakes, scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream. Our succulent homemade Scotch eggs and sausage rolls are savoury favourites and are served with freshly brewed tea or coffee. All this for only £17.50 per person. We do require at least 2 days’ notice please. Why not add a 20cl bottle of Prosecco for £7.50, or a 75cl for £22.95, to make it even more of a special occasion?
