mill shop
ladies and gents country clothing
At the Abbey Mill Shop you will discover work by inspired and talented textile designers, who subtly weave the natural colours and textures of our mystical landscape into their original garments. The Mill Shop is well known for it’s specialist ladies and men’s country and weekend clothing. We are proud stockists of the Nomads, Adini and Sherwood country clothing labels, and also offer luxurious ladies and gents wool-lined and fashion slippers. Walking boots and thick soled wellies are much appreciated by both country lovers and hikers alike. We even offer an on site podiatry service.
Celtic crafts, home ware and jewellery
The Abbey Mill Shop home ware collection includes a comprehensive selection of Welsh, Irish and Scottish throws and rugs. Both traditional and contemporary Celtic themes feature in our knitwear ranges, which are designed to suit every taste and budget. We also have a wide range of silver, copper and gold jewellery inspired by the Celtic knots and ancient crosses of the Welsh countryside. To mark special occasions, you can even have a message engraved on a personalized Welsh love spoon. These make ideal and completely unique gifts for weddings, christenings, engagements and anniversaries. Meanwhile we celebrate the timeless beauty of nature in our wide range of Baltic amber and designer semi, and precious, gem stone jewellery.
Local produce
Local beer and ciders are also available at the Mill Shop. We sell beers from our local Tintern Brewery and also the Wye Valley Brewery. Local Parva wine, Celtic Mead or Wye Valley Gin can also be paired with our celebration 'Tea 'n' Bubbles' High Tea Boxes which we deliver to you door. Gwatkins local cider is supplied to us from the very next village at Hewelsfield. We also stock OS maps and routes, for walking in the beautiful surrounding countryside.
Perfect end to a perfect day
We managed to grab a coffee and a cake in the sunshine and reflect on a beautiful day in Tintern. The small array of shops supporting small businesses of local handicrafts in the midst of a historical water mill that had once been an integral part of the local iron industry!!! Tripadvisor
